Golden Glow Porridge

A symphony of warmth and rich flavours. This porridge combines the natural sweetness of bananas and maple syrup with the earthy aromas of turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon. Enriched with chia seeds, raisins, and flaked almonds, it offers a nutrient-packed meal that's as delicious as it is beneficial.

Ingredients

185ml oat milk

1 banana

60g oats

1 tbsp sultanas

1 tsp chia seeds

1 tsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp flaked almonds

1/8 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground tumeric

Method

Start by slicing the banana into thin rounds.

In a saucepan, combine oat milk, tumeric, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla extract and maple syrup.

Heat the mixture on a low flame, whisking occasionally.

As the milk warms, stir in the oats and sliced bananas. Continuously stir to prevent the oats from sticking to the bottom.

Allow the mixture to cook on a gentle simmer until the oats soften and swell, absorbing the spiced milk and forming a creamy consistency - around 10 minutes.

Once your porridge reaches the desired thickness, remove it from the heat.

Pour the porridge into a bowl and garnish with sultanas, chia seeds and flaked almonds.
